Tejal Gyan Chandigarh:
Prominent Sikh farmer leader of Punjab, President of Chandigarh unit of All India Jatt Mahasabha and National Delegate of Mahasabha S. Rajinder Singh Badheri has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately sack his minister Meenakshi Lekhi. Farmer leader S. Badheri said that Meenakshi Lekhi had insulted the agitating farmers by calling them ‘Mawali’.
In a statement issued here today, Rajinder Singh Badheri also said that if Narendra Modi did not remove Meenakshi Lekhi, the Union Minister who had insulted the farmers, the message would go out to the whole world that the government also wants the same, what Meenakshi has said. People will surely think that Narendra Modi does not have the guts to say such a thing directly to the farmers, that is why he is making such blunt statements from his ministers.
Mr. Badheri also said that the agitating farmers were not going to retreat under any circumstances. Until the three new agricultural laws are repealed, the farmers’ agitation will continue.
He said that such a statement of a Union Minister definitely reflects the thinking and values of his party. The central government, which has been rejecting the Anndata farmers, is now constantly making mistakes. It is a mistake that could wipe out the entire BJP from the country forever – but they are still intoxicated with power and do not understand it.
Mr. Badheri said that if the Modi Government wants to rectify its mistake, it should first remove Meenakshi Lekhi from office and then repeal the three agriculture laws immediately.
