Bhagwant Mann insults Puadhi Chief Minister and Puadhi language, must apologize: Rajinder Singh Badheri

Tejal Gyan Chandigarh, December 18:
Prominent Sikh farmer leader and President of Chandigarh unit of All India Jatt Mahasabha and National Delegate of Mahasabha S. Rajinder Singh Badheri said that Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann had insulted the Punjab Chief Minister and Punjabi Puadhi language that could not be tolerated.

Releasing a statement to the press here today, Mr. Badheri said that Punjab’s Puadh region was great in itself and it had made a huge contribution not only in Punjab but in every sector of the country.

Mr. Badheri further said that now that for the first time a Puadhi in the form of Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi has become the Chief Minister of Punjab, he should not be mocked like Bhagwant Mann has done, rather he should always be respected.

It may be recalled that yesterday Bhagwant Mann had said in a sarcastic tone that when the temporary teachers go to the Chief Minister of Punjab with their application for permanence, CM used to say – ‘Hamein tan aap kachhe Mukh Mantri Hoan, Thonu kya pucce karan.’ Rajinder Singh Badheri was reacting to this statement of Mr. Bhagwant Mann today.

He said that Bhagwant Mann would have liked to have said such things if he had known how to speak pure Punjabi. He himself wrongly pronunciates Punjabi words ‘Parna’ as ‘Samosa’, ‘Chhole’ as ‘Sole’, ‘Tuhanu’ as ‘Sonu’ and ‘Nede’ as ‘Lave’. Mr. Badheri said that such words are used in some parts of Malwa region, we all know this – we have mentioned these words here only to open the eyes of Bhagwant Mann; We have no intention of making fun of the Malwai language. Just as he will feel bad about it, so did to all the Puadhi Punjabis his remarks to Chief Minister Channi in front of reporters yesterday.

Mr. Badheri said that Bhagwant Mann should apologize for this insult to the Chief Minister.
